AMERICA'S RESEARCH GROUP SAYS INTERNET SHOPPING, MUSIC STORE SALES UP
CHARLESTON, SC – September 15, 2003 --
- A new national survey shows that Internet shopping doubled from last
August -- both in number of users and money spent.
- More people shopped online in August than last December, mainly
families with children -- could back-to-school shopping online be a new
trend for time-pressed families?
- Overall, traffic and sales in music stores is up over last year,
despite all the fuss about piracy
- "Retail-wise, it was the best Labor Day weekend in a decade," notes
Beemer.
